1, 2, 3, 4

Today my ladybug turned four.

All smiles at her choice for dinner. McDonald's, the 3rd happiest place on earth.

I asked Madison what she wanted for lunch.
And I quote, "Mama, I want Costco Pizza."
Nai Nai joined us.

So did Uncle Kev.

Saturday, Gong Gong and Puo Puo (MIA in pictures!) treated Madison,
her friend Will, and the Circus to the 2nd happiest place on earth:
Chuck E. Cheese.

My Circus is growing up too fast.
I need a tissue.

Girl In Charge

Did I mention I was called to be Girls' Camp Director? Headed to B.O.O.T. Camp this week where I'll help the Young Women Build Our Own Testimonies. (Gasp! An acronym! It's too clever, I know.) Can't wait to come back. I'm going into bear country. Hopefully I won't see any. Eek. Wish me luck.

Easter postings in June? I've got some February stuff coming in July...
At Puo Puo and Gong Gong's house.

Then Ye Ye and Nai Nai's house.
What a bunch of lucky duckies.

An Email & A Confession

"Hello Alternates for the Dedication Choir or better known now as the members of the Cornerstone Choir: I just wanted to send this message from Brother C--- on to you so that you know they are working on getting things together for the rehearsals.
Once again, thank you for your time and willingness to do this. You all sounded just marvelous on Sunday evening - you are making everyone proud.
Brother and Sister C----"

I've kept it mum, but now an email has been received. I was an alternate for one of the Dedicatory Choirs for The Oquirrh Mountain Temple. (My Stake auditioned 20 of us and then chose 10 names from a hat. There were 2 alto spots and my name was drawn 3rd, as an alternate.) But now, I will be singing in the Cornerstone Ceremony. Hurrah and huzzah! The kids and I jumped up and down and shouted for joy for ten minutes. More to come in August...

Today

Today was perfect.

It started here, at The Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. I volunteered to be an usher as people toured inside the Temple.
I remembered the first time I stepped foot inside a Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was the 1994 Bountiful Temple Open House and I was not a member of the LDS Church. That day changed my life.

Today was cold and cloudy. The rains came pouring down and this fountain overflowed.

The thunder shook and lightning crashed. I heard a boom and later saw this.
The Angel Moroni was struck by lightning, but stood strong and steadfast. Immovable in the storm.
Safe inside, I caught a glimpse of Elder Yoshihiko Kikuchi, one of the General Authorities of the LDS Church. He lead his visitors by. Our eyes met and he nodded his acknowledgment. I bowed my head, overwhelmed with gratitude and joy.

As I offered visitors towels to dry themselves, I saw her. I was overcome at the significance of seeing her beautiful family in this sacred place and thought of my own sweet family.

I had been away for seven hours. I came home to hugs and kisses.

A perfect ending to a perfect day.
