Christmas Day

Santa Claus came...

Sophie, helping with the evidence.

Look at Josh's face. I love it!

Madison, with wonder and awe...

Sophie, full of joy.

Santa Claus also brought snow.
Our front door, as we prepared to visit Ye Ye and Nai Nai.

The neighbor's car. Snowed in!

Neighbors helped clear the roads with their tractors and bobcats.
I love this farming community!

Ali & Ben, absolutely thrilled with our gift to them.

So are Grandpa and Grandma McGee. Dining gift cards and Beano!

The aftermath of it all...

Christmas Eve

At Puo Puo and Gong Gong's house...

In front of Puo Puo's tree.

Our Christmas Gift to You

Luke 2:9-14
"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them...And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord...And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Samuel Tells of the Baby Jesus
Said Samuel, "Within five years a night will be as day,
And Baby Jesus will be born in a land far, far away."
Hosanna! Hosanna! Oh, let us gladly sing.
How blessed that our Lord was born;
Let earth receive her King!

A Long December

If you know the line, yes, I love Counting Crows... here's a month's review in photos. You'll have to read from bottom to top. The most recent is Joshua's movie party.

12/20 Say "cheese," little mice. Watching "The Tale of Despereaux" with good friends.

More friends.
12/20 at Josh's movie party. Cousins Ethan and Josh.
This one's for Uncle Danu and Aunt Di!

At Tiburon's, where they serve sorbet in between courses
to cleanse your palate. Now that's fancy!

12/19 Just call us Nancy. Fancy food with fancy friends John and Natalie.

12/16 And then I got rear-ended, while waiting at a stop light. Thankfully the children were safe. Sophie and Josh cried from the loud boom and after a moment of silence, Madison said, "That was fun! Let's do that again, Mama!" Hmmmm...I hope not.

12/13 Church Christmas party with a dress-up theme: A Night in Bethlehem. Madison's scarf looks like a hijab. I was trying to make Sophie look like an angel.

A real tree! The fragrance was divine.

Followed immediately by Book Club at Amy Lofgreen's house. A kindred spirit who enjoys English history and literature. Can you tell by the dinner?

My first community project. Free clothes, shoes, coats, toys, home and baby items
for families in need. My dream is to make this an annual community event.

12/11 Organizing the first "Swap 'n Shop" for families in need.

Grandma and Grandpa McGee.

With Aunt Allison. Madison is sneaking cheese fries.

Sophie likes the straw.

12/10 Another dinner, a week later on Josh's birthdate, at the Training Table.
Cheese fries, per his request.

Some of the loot. Star Wars, of course!

Back at Paw-Paw's house.

Paw-Paw & Gong-Gong

12/5 With Teresa celebrating Josh's birthday at his restaurant pick: Applebees.

Sophie and her baby, which looks just like her.

Making balloon dogs and swords on a snow day. I am one talented mama!

I love her hair.

Mmmmm...

Sophie discovers lollipops.

Buddies who are silly.

Buddies.

I just love this shot.

Nana & FaFa. BFFs already.

The cutest kids.

12/3? Out with Jeff & Valarie.

Two silly girls
